''Spring has Sprung'' Love From lizi March Blog Hop

Hi Friends,

Happy March the 1st! Thanks for stopping by today! Spring is just the most beautiful season, a time for regrowth, rejuvenation and of course, lots of crafting.
This month I am so excited to be part of the Love From Lizi Spring themed blog hop.

Please be sure to hop all the way, we don't want you to miss out on any of the stunning projects and of course, comment on all the blogs (including this one) because there is a chance of winning a Love From Lizi sold out March kit or £20 to spend in her online shop.

Spring Has Sprung Card

The card was inspired by my love of all things spring and of course my obsession with anything purple.

We were tasked with using one thing from Lizi's shop as part of the spring theme, I chose to use the stunning papers she had. (whats great is they can be purchased as a mini kit in her shop)

Shopping List

  • 1 of the LFL Mini Bohemian Packs (www.lovefromlizi.com)
  • Pearlescent Cardstock
  • Flower and leaf die set
  • Double sided tape
  • Foam squares
  • Polaroid frames
  • 3d butterflies
  • Glitter enamel dots
  • Pearl dots
  • wooden butterfly veneer
  • Sentiment

These stunning paper really made me feel creative and filled me with the crafting joys of spring!

I started by folding a piece of gorgeous pearlescent card and then fussy cutting out the border from one of the pattened papers, I then stuck it to one side to frame the card. To give the card some depth, I used foam squares to stick on the border.

My favourite part of the card were the flowers, these were made using  flower dies, which I then folder over the edges and stuck on to bigger flower to give a 3D effect.

I finished off the centre of the flower with a purple glittery enamel dot. I was so happy with how these turned out.

The leaves were done using the a die from the same pack and I used pearlescent card to give them a shine.

I also added these adorable butterflies to the card, along with some pearl dots to add texture.

I finished off the right side of the card with a white polaroid frame, I added two more of the flowers, this time using sequins in the middle. I then added a floral tag in the middle of the frame and added a wooden butterfly as a focal point of the card, I felt the wood contrasted well with the bright colours on the card.

I then finished the card off with a best wishes sentiment and some more enamel and pearl dots.
